The prophecy foretells that the end times will begin when the Great North Star falls near Acthaelion. The first event will be the arrival of the Miuris—sea men who will fight against humanity, led by the Gudan or the Last King. Humanity will suffer, but ultimately triumph.

Next, the surviving humans will go to the sea to awaken it by sacrificing two daughters born on the Day of Yasg. The four kings of the southern kingdoms will then fight in a duel. The sea will judge them, and only the winner's kingdom will survive. That king must then take his own life with his blade to calm the sea, passing the crown to his heir.

In the end, 80% of humanity must perish. The remaining 20% will survive as the kingdom detaches from Sunderland. The world will be remade—north and south reversed. The Great Sleep will follow, and the cycle will begin again, with the 20% reborn, their memories erased.
